Rug Consignment

Expanded Reach & Established Connections

Access to the Right Audience

At Boulder Rug Collective, your rug isn’t limited to foot traffic or a single showroom.

Through years of experience in the rug and design industry, we maintain established relationships with thousands of interior decorators, designers, and rug collectors, both nationally and internationally. These connections allow us to place rugs in front of the right buyers — people who understand quality, craftsmanship, and value.

This broader network significantly increases visibility and improves the likelihood of a thoughtful, timely sale.

Our 5-Point Quality & Condition Control

Construction & Origin

How the rug was made and where it comes from.

Age & Character

Vintage, newer, or transitional — and what that means for the market.

Materials & Dyes

Wool, silk, dye quality, and how the rug will age.

Price & Value Alignment

Realistic pricing based on condition, quality, and demand.

Condition & Repairs

Current condition, past repairs, and any recommendations.

Our Certification

All rugs accepted for consignment are evaluated and documented through our certification process.

Selective Consignment
(Not Every Rug Is Accepted)

We are intentionally selective.

We typically accept:

  • Handmade rugs

  • Vintage

  • Rugs with character, quality, or design value

  • Rugs in good or repairable condition

We may decline rugs that are:

  • Machine-made

  • Wall-to-wall carpet

  • Overly damaged with limited market value

If a rug isn’t right for consignment, we’ll explain why — and may suggest alternatives such as trade, storage, or care.

All rugs accepted for consignment are evaluated and documented through our certification process, providing buyers with clear information about construction, materials, condition, and care. Certification adds transparency, trust, and value — without exaggeration.
